Purpose - This aim of this dissertation is to study the impact of servitization in logistics and supply chain management.
Design/methodology/approach – The research methodology of this dissertation is to conduct a systematic literature review. To analyse the impact of servitization in logistics and supply chain management through various resources such as proquest, science direct and many more. But to understand the the impact, case studies from different industries are taken. With the use of the case studies this impact was investigated with an structured framework.
Literature- From the research conducted, literature consists of concepts, theories and strategies of supply chain and logistics used by different companies to adopt servitization. With these concepts a deeper research is conducted during the case study analysis.
Findings - It is found that, by adopting servitization strategy, the supply chain has shifted from traditional manufacturing to service supply chain, buy incorporating the customer voice throughout the supply chain by doing so there was a considerable change in the logistics network.
Discussion and conclusion- In the discussion, the research questions are answered with the help of findings and analysis of different case studies. There was some limitations found during the discussion of supply chain and logistics strategies. Concluding with the positive remark that the industries are looking forward to accept servitization as a success factor. |
