description The present dissertation addresses the complexity of Corporate Social Responsibility in a peace building and post conflict environment, focused on the on-going peace talks between the Colombian government and the FARC guerrilla. A content analysis of Presidential speeches between 2012 and 2014 was undertaken, in order to determine salient issues and stakeholders that may impact on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies. Additionally, CSR and Sustainability corporate reports were analyzed to determine the level of commitment towards post conflict. This analysis was complemented with surveys answered by businessmen to understand how they acknowledge peace and post conflict. The results are then understood under the theoretical underpinnings of stakeholder and institutional theories in order to determine the private sector’s involvement (or lack there of) in peace building and post conflict actions.
