description The Internet, a major economy driver is often not accessible by a larger portion of the population in Nigeria and other Africa countries as a result of lack of imperative infrastructures needed by any economy to achieve the impact of the Internet. Some decades back, businesses were operated orthodoxly. However, as the region started experiencing a persistence growth in Internet penetration, more and more businesses with high on ground logistics and customer relations are becoming semi-online firms by adding an online presence to their existing business or becoming fully online business. This to a great extent can affect the bottom line for a lot of businesses even though the brands have been projected beyond borders. Furthermore, many businesses may not efficiently execute their core businesses in the new market as it were in the market of origin. The purpose of carrying out this research is to investigate the pros and cons of online internationalization by E-commerce firms and also to investigate if every online firm adapt strategically to expansion. Analyzing literature review with the findings from the survey and interviews carried out the research. This will help advising online businesses about the implications of their go-abroad decisions.
