description With the increased trade activities through imports and exports in China, attention to customs procedures is increasing for the purpose of maintaining control. This paper intends to study the role of Chinese customs to facilitate trade to promote foreign trade and business through various logistics that are involved in these trade activities from within and outside the Chinese boundaries. The research methodology adopted for this paper is exploratory research, in which secondary data has been used to analyze the various dimensions of the research. The research has been built on research work done by various researchers of China, and World Bank, United Nations and OECD. Additionally, the work of other researchers have also been analyzed on the basis of various dimension of international trade facilitation activities, the generic customs procedures, the parties involved and various inside the border and border elements. The reviews depict the history of Chinese customs, the customs procedure for imports and exports in China, and the use of infrastructure. Furthermore, the research also analyses the leads and lags of the customs procedures in China, and how it can be improved in order to become number one trade country of the world. The role of customs procedures is gaining importance in the coming future, and for this reason, the local and international regulatory bodies may consider effective measures to improve customs procedures.
