description China has experienced significant economic development since the economic reform in 1979. However, inflation in China has been persistent in the 21th century and has great impact on Chinese economy. This dissertation is going to systematically investigate the causes of inflation in China from 2000 to 2011. Literature survey will provide the theoretical foundation of the causes of inflation, and will identifies key variables.Methodology will introduce the method that will be applied in this research. Findings and discussion further explore the results of macroeconomic test results. Finally, the determinants significantly drive inflation will be provided in conclusion.
