description The financial crisis of 2007 has revealed important issues with the way banks manage their risks. Both the regulators and the banks have started making relevant changes in the banking sector. In this context, this dissertation sets to discover the changes that occur in the attitude towards risk management in 4 major UK banks. It does that by analysing the data coming from the banks' annual reports. The study also includes an analysis of the word count. The main results of this dissertation show that banks have generally not changed the risk management framework that they use, but have made improvements to their risk appetite, risk measures and risk governance.
