The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyse the impacts and challenges of the plant transfer, explore strategies and activities, and as well propose the improvement suggestions. This research is carried out by both qualitative research methods and quantitative research methods. Interviews, company visits and documentary analysis are carried out to identify problems and challenges, develop the strategies and propose improvement recommendations. Quantitative analyses aim at the performance measurement. The detailed case study of specific production line reveals the performance and achievements of this plant transfer project. The research result helps the company view the plant transfer comprehensively and assists to obtain future improvement and development. The practical plant transfer experience and techniques would help other plant transfer or relocation projects.
