description The report provides the reader with the opportunity to firstly understand current Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) literature and then secondly interpret it from the view point of a particular industry perspective: The Electronic Payment Industry. The ideal report output was that the author and subsequently readers of the report would be in a position to engage more effectively with potential industry customers and not only improve the chance of winning more business within the market place but more importantly, through more effective dialogue and understanding of the key considerations, ensure more effective solutions were delivered for any such customers. What has actually been delivered within the report can be categorised into two elements thus; a. Real actionable opportunities to improve engagement with new clients. The ITO literature has thrown up a number of new or enhanced approaches to dealing with potential Clients and a number of practical and actionable steps have been identified for use in discussions and or marketing literature.  Usable benefits framework.  Risk mitigation checklists.  Additional models and message approaches for use in marketing literature.  Stakeholder needs qualification approaches. b. Critical areas for further investigation. Whilst a number of key opportunities have been identified this report has also identified critical areas the current ITO literature does not address satisfactorily. Whilst this does not provide the reader with the envisaged “silver bullet” in improving new customer engagement approaches what is does provide is a focused or prioritised recommendation as to where time should be spent to further improve Company performance. The following key development items are identified;  Detailed ITO cost comparison framework  Development of a broader “value” based view of ITO  Holistic presentation of ITO benefits that incorporates risk On this basis the report delivers both practical steps for immediate implementation to improve Company engagement and key recommendations of where to focus future analysis.
