Chapter one offers the introduction to this research, its significance, the research objectives, research questions and a brief description of the perceived role of women in Malaysia. The literature review in chapter two covers the definition of work-life balance, women’s work-lifestyle preferences, their motivation to work, their perception on their domestic role and the work-life balance issues they face in employment, household responsibilities, children, leisure and social support. Chapter three reviews the research methodology and design applied while chapter four lays out the findings, incorporating data analysis and interpretation. The entire research is concluded in chapter five which includes the limitation of the research as well as recommendation for future research.
