| Summary: | This dissertation looks at the experiences of exporting textile SME Company in Thailand. The aims of this project are to get an insight view into how Thai firm's export motivation. Moreover, the study is to find the export barriers that affect the firm export performance in different ways. This study further investigated into firm export marketing strategies that affect the firm export performance in a particular area.
The project involved gauging reactions from Jong Pattana Co., LTD., which is Thai textile SME Company on their experiences in exporting. This was carried out via a case study in order to in-depth detail of data. The results were able to produce an analysis of the following:
What are Thai textile SME Company's reasons in exporting?
What are the export barriers that affect exporting performance of Thai textile SME Company?
What are export marketing strategies that affect exporting performance of Thai textile SME Company?
The key findings showed that in general, proactive reasons play a significant role in motivating JPN Company to start their export. The study further indicates the important export barriers of JPN Company are those generated domestically and caused by government and poor trade infrastructure. Moreover, human resources is a major factor of internal export barrier that affect JPNs export performance. The study found that the export marketing mix strategies, especially product and price, are the most important export key success factors of JPN Company. JPN Company still has difficulties pursuing distribution channel and promotional strategies.
