Summary:In order to pursue omni-directional developing, reducing the operating cost and expanding market channel, financial holding companies (FHCs) seek the way to enlarge operational scale and to merge other financial institutions. Consequently, FHCs expect to occupy a tiny space in the holding domain of finance with keen competition. It is the most important subject on the management tactics of financial holding companies, as the financial domain is reformed, how does the financial holding company set their own competition advantage to integrate the whole source effectively, develop the new products and set up one's own key competitiveness progressively. Due to above-mentioned motives, this research attempts to reach the following purposes: First, understand the development present situation of the financial holding company. Second, analyse the problem that the financial holding company manages and faces. Third, analyse the factor that the financial management tactics and the key of holding company success via the questionnaire. Finally, discover the financial environment at present to offer the reference for government and financial circles to makes the finance manages policy in the future. This research employs questionnaire to investigate to the 400 staff of 14 domestic financial holding companies, including the subsidiary, and then analyse in depth and compare the materials according to 216 questionnaires retrieved. In this study, FHCs have divided into three extensive companies in accordance with the scale of the assets. Therefore, the results have indicated that different scales of assets of FHCs have significant impacts on corporate operation, capability of innovation and capability of strategic leadership in terms of business strategy and key success factors. Furthermore, bigger scales of assets of FHCs put more emphasis on all factors. It has implied that bigger scales of assets of FHCs have more resources and capabilities to develop in all financial sectors.
