| description | This dissertation aims to study the determinants of dividends policy in UK since most empirical evidence is focused on US companies, the results from US firms may not be fully reflected the condition of UK companies. Another objective is to investigate the consistence of the dividend policy determinants.
In order to evaluate which factor(s) is or are affecting the dividends policy, this paper references other researches and to choose six of determinants for evaluating UK dividends policy. Six factors are 1) Future earnings 2) Size factor in this paper is defined as Log of revenue. 3) Stock price volatility 4) Dividends volatility 5) Earnings volatility 6) Cash flow volatility. In addition, this research will look for any difference between the empirical. Furthermore, this research bases on these six variables in order to investigate their consistence from 2001 to 2004 for UK companies. |
