Summary:Left ear pain. Otoscopy shows left external auditory canal hard mass obscuring view. There is a small pedunculated well-corticated bony outgrowth within the left external acoustic meatus. Its narrow-based stalk is seen arising from the anterior wall of the lateral-most bony portion of the left external acoustic canal. No periosteal reaction or erosive changes of the underlying bone. The lesion is seen causing subtotal obstruction of the left external meatus.
