Even though various strategies have been adopted by different governments in SSA to alleviate poverty and income inequality, these problems are persisting and even increasing. This paper is a conceptual research; thus, the methodology will not be discussed. This research suggests that financial inclusion through Islamic microfinance is an effective solution to improve shared prosperity and alleviate poverty in these countries. Therefore, governments should adopt strategies to enhance and ease access to finance among poor and vulnerable population. |
