Ankyloglossia can lead to a variety of problems such as breastfeeding problems, speech, oral hygiene and social tongue movements. The tongue-tie’s effect on breastfeeding has been associated with sore nipples,poor infant weight gain, neonatal dehydration and shorter breastfeeding duration.
