This study aims to present a general overview of some specimens of intellectual and methodological creativity in the Qur’anic exegesis of Ibn ʿĀshūr, that can be characterized as his excellence and acclamation compared to other interpretive methodologies. An assessor today may find that the works written in the field of Qur’anic interpretation—despite its abundance—still needs an admirable model of interpretive method that could be introduced to the new generation of researchers. These researchers after getting acquainted with such methods will deliberate on it, unveil from it dimensions of strength and creativity, and henceforth align themselves with such methods following it steadfastly. |
