description In the millennium era, the mechanisms of trading has being expanded to include online shopping and internet businesses whereby customers merely browse through the internet to find things they need rather than physically going to the shops. Today, it is also common to find businesses being conducted through blogs, particularly the free lance or those who initially plan doing business just for fun but later gets into a bigger and more serious transactions. Businesses like selling homemade chocolate, cup cakes, designed and personal accessories are among the many types of businesses which are commonly carried up via blogs. From the business perspectives, it is good for the country 19s economy when more people are involved in businesses be it in micro or small scale. With the limited capital and time that most people have nowadays, doing business through blogs is seen as one of the modus to get extra income or even as an alternative employment. Nonetheless, few legal issues may arise from this informal business medium; such as who are regulating the blogs 19 businesses, does the registered website represent a genuine business site or a mere bogus and temporary in nature and what are the protections provided to customers of the blogs 19 businesses. There are many more issues which may arise if one dig in deeper. This paper intends to highlight major legal issues which may arise from businesses via blogs, namely regulatory framework and consumer protection. The main objective of this paper is to propose better regulatory frameworks which provide flexibility to the business community at the same time security to the consumers. A quantitative research methodology is adopted in this study.
