Precious metals such as Pt, Pd, Rh, and Au are important in electronics, catalysis, medical/dental, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries due to their inherent characteristics, such as high catalytic activity, excellent mechanical strength, and high resistance to corrosion and oxidation.
