| Summary: | This thesis investigates the seismic performance of a novel type of mortarless interlocking brick structure. Through shaking table test, quasi-static cyclic test and corresponding numerical studies, the lateral strength, deformation capacity, energy dissipation mechanisms, and the impact of design parameters on structural performance are explored. Comparison with conventional mortar-bonded masonry wall is also conducted. Analytical models are proposed to predict its strength, deformation capacity and equivalent damping ratio to facilitate its engineering application. |
