Description
Summary:This thesis is focused on advancing borehole seismic techniques for monitoring CO2 stored underground. For a 15 kt injection within the CO2CRC Otway Project, I describe data processing automation, repeatability analysis and time-lapse processing of seismic data acquired continuously with downhole fibre optic sensors and permanent orbital vibrators, the effect of mispositioning on data repeatability, the effect of rock stiffness on DAS measurements and properties of a tube wave excited in a CO2 pipeline.
