Description
Summary:This research investigates the effect of rock strength on force responses associated with impregnated diamond drilling. The investigation involved coring activities ran on a well-engineered laboratory-scale drilling rig, drilling a collective amount of rock samples using industry graded bit. The experimentation came upon a particular rock-related parameter under the framework of a drilling model that demonstrates a robust linear relationship with rock strength. The investigation leads to estimate uniaxial compressive strength from drilling data.
