Summary:This study examined how the boards of not-for-profit organisations make decisions. The research questions examined board decision-making processes as well as whether the background of a director affects how decisions are made and how board selects directors who are less likely to be subject to goupthink. The study extends the current knowledge of individual factors that have a bearing upon the group dynamics in relation to not-for-profit boards and their decision-making.
