Summary:This thesis comprised two studies: a systematic review and a pilot randomised controlled trial. The review aimed to evaluate what is known regarding aquatic high intensity interval exercise training and its effect on aerobic capacity and body composition in populations that are not athletic. This knowledge was then used to develop, implement and evaluate the feasibility of this type of training for young people with cerebral palsy.
