| Summary: | The flipped classroom approach has been applied widely in advanced education
systems across the globe due to its positive impact on learners’ satisfaction and
academic outcomes. This paper introduces the fundamentals of the flipped
classroom approach and provides some insights on how to successfully apply
this model to higher education in Business and Management studies. Drawing
from the experience of using this approach in teaching multiple units in
Business and Management at both undergraduate and graduate levels, the
author showed that student satisfaction and pass rates were achieved at the
overall percentage of 90 and above. Yet for a successful application and
integration, universities and institutions should uphold the fundamental
principle of student-centered learning, build good infrastructure and facilities,
and provide necessary supports to instructors and learners. |
