description There is significant potential to improve drug delivery systems for the treatment of colorectal cancer. This thesis focuses on applying dense gas (Gas antisolvent, and Atomized rapid injection for solvent extraction) processes to the formulation of targeted drug delivery systems containing 5-Fluorouracil and Silibinin. The drug loading, encapsulation efficiency, and in-vitro release were analyzed to assess the process credibility. Subcritical water processing was employed as a green alternative to acid etching of halloysite nanoclays.
