Summary:Past experiences shows that decommissioning activities attracts significant attention from stakeholders who can influence and impact decommissioning projects. This thesis enhances project manager’s understanding of the decommissioning landscape, so that better decisions can be made when managing stakeholders. The thesis highlights that engaging the right stakeholders, in the right way, and at the right time minimises the risk of negative impacts while maximising benefits from stakeholders, leading to a smoother execution of decommissioning projects.
