Description
Summary:Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) as a metal-free photocatalyst is a prevalent photocatalyst used for visible light driven catalysis. This thesis focuses on synthesis and characterization of layered g-C3N4 based materials for photocatalytic applications ranging from hydrogen generation to wastewater treatment. Morphology control and heterostructure optimization are crucial for enhancing catalytic performances of the materials. The promising potential of layered g-C3N4 based materials as effective photocatalysts in energy and environmental fields is discussed in detail.
