| Summary: | This research focused on improving the performance of conventional macro polypropylene fibre-reinforced concrete. Fibre hybridizing and fibre modification methods were studied and the best performing approach was proposed to overcome the low Young’s modulus and weak bond with concrete of polypropylene fibres. The mechanical properties of hybrid fibre-reinforced concrete under static and dynamic compression and split tension were investigated and quantified. The structural performance of ground slabs reinforced with fibre reinforcements was also studied. |
