Description
Summary:The phenomenon of contact charging has been known since ancient times, with widespread applications. Yet, its most basic foundations, such as the charge carries (ions or electrons) still remains poorly understood. This thesis explores the mechanism and application of electrochemistry based on contact electrification on insulators, such as single-electrode electrochemistry, electroluminescence and mask-free lithography. This will help to explore the basic foundations of contact electrification.
