| Summary: | Recent wars in Iraq have caused a loss of scholars and library collections resulting in significant information gaps. This thesis examines collaborative approaches between academic libraries in Australia and Iraq aimed at restoring and modernising information systems. The qualitative methodology involves interviews with librarians in both countries as well as researchers from developing nations. Recommendations include the development of compatible library systems between Iraq and Australia, use of social networking and open access. |
