Summary:© BMJ Publishing Group Limited 2020. No commercial re-use. See rights and permissions. Published by BMJ. A case of a 59-year-old man with resistant hypertension, despite 8 months of non-pharmacological and pharmacological management up to maximal doses of triple antihypertensive therapy. Review of the literature found a study that reported improved blood pressure control with bedtime dosing of antihypertensive treatment. Changing to bedtime dosage of antihypertensives resulted in significant improvement in blood pressure control to below target levels. This highlights the importance of the clinicians' awareness and implementation of research findings and hence delivery of best evidence-based care.
