Summary:In this study, a microwave plasma reactor system was used to produce syngas via dry reforming of methane (DRM) and a combination of DRM with steam reforming (SRM) at atmospheric pressure. Box–Behnken design (BBD) method was used to find the optimizing conditions based on the experimental results. The performance of DRM microwave plasma was studied as functions of additive gas (N2 and Ar) flow rate, microwave power, CO2/CH4 ratio, and reaction time.
