The SKI addresses problems from theusers’ viewpoint, seeking real-time answers for informed decision making, ratherthan from a data producer’s perspective. The driving motivation, to satisfy society’sgrowing expectation for knowledge on-demand, targeting spatial infrastructuredesign from a knowledge-out rather than a data-in perspective. This paper exploresthe SKI framework and how Semantic Web technologies can be used to deliverservices in step with the knowledge on-demand revolution.
