description As energy systems undergo significant utility-scale transitions to combat global warming, the capacity for future customers to lead the next transition needs to be studied and quantified. This research presents a customer-driven energy policy simulation framework that integrates endogenous customer PV and battery investment, the energy market and generators, with the means to comparatively evaluate market evolution and policy impacts. Energy policies can also be designed and tested within this framework to assess the potential for customer-driven renewable energy transition pathways. A hypothetical analysis is presented.
