| Summary: | This thesis focussed on the topical delivery of Acriflavine for theranostic purposes, the characterization of NanopatchTM-mediated macromolecule delivery in human skin and the evaluation of topically applied nanoparticle permeation. Multiphoton microscopy and FLIM was used to observe active permeation and diffusion, and to evaluate the metabolic state of the viable epidermis. The research has potential applications in the diagnosis and therapy of skin cancer, topical delivery of vaccination and safety assessment outcomes |
