| Summary: | This study investigated the development and implementation of peer-led home visiting support for Aboriginal families with young children in Midland, Western Australia. The action research methodology identified strategies for a suitable, feasible, acceptable and effective peer-led home visiting parent support program using a partnership approach between peers, parents, the community and a child health nurse researcher. Implementation demonstrated that the emerging role of the peer support worker was integral to strengthening parenting environments. |
