Description
Summary:The management of odours in both drinking water and wastewater systems is one of the most important, and often most difficult, challenges for water utilities worldwide. Identification and analysis of the chemical compounds that cause these odours is usually expensive and laborious. This Thesis describes the investigation of the utility of a relatively new method, headspace solid-phase microextraction, for rapid identification of odorous analytes in water samples, which will aid in their prevention.
