Description
Summary:Data about individuals collected for administrative purposes has enormous potential for secondary use, particularly for health research. Record linkage is the key epidemiological tool used here to determine which records between and within datasets belong to the same individual. Two key methodological challenges for record linkage are ensuring adequate privacy protection of individuals, and ensuring accuracy in record linkage; this thesis presents advancements in both these areas.
