Description
Summary:Our aim is to offer a fresh look on a varied selection of sustainable interpretations of Bo Bardi’s work to provide today’s readers with alternative views from the authors about adaptive reuse, why it has become re-purposeful and necessary. Materials and resources are being depleted at an accelerating speed and rising consumption trends across the globe have placed adaptive reuse, material efficiency and waste reduction at the centre of many government policy agendas. The various arguments in this book discuss different approaches to how Bo Bardi “invented” and introduced sustainability in Brazilian architecture.
