Zinc Distribution in Allende Revealed via Synchrotron Analysis and its Link to Alkali-Metasomatism of Refractory Inclusions
We show that at the cm-scale, Zn concentration is highest in spinel and associated phases of macroscopic objects in Allende. We explore the link between Zn concentration and the secondary alteration of these objects by a Na-rich volatile phase.
