Description
Summary:Few Australians are unaware of Fiona Stanley's achievements as a researcher. Many will be aware of her prominence as a campaigner for children's health and in indigenous health. There is perhaps less awareness of her role and achievements as a public advocate across a range of other important health issues, or how well she has combined the roles of researcher and advocate. This presentation will focus on three areas in which I have had the privilege of working with Fiona, and identify seven characteristics of Fiona as the model researcher- advocate.
