From the escarpment are glimpses of the city 20km to the west. North across the valley are views of the bush. The house is a place to live and work, a place to build and test. Its materials are old and new. The house begins with a wall. The wall defines and holds. It creates order. The rooms of the house are a slippage of spaces that zigzag around trees. They are negotiated spaces, flowing from one to the other from interior to exterior. |
