Fuzzy logic controlled voltage source converter in grid connected application via LCL filter

This paper proposes a fuzzy logic based current regulator of two level voltage source converter connected to a power grid through LCL filter. Utilization of the LCL filter can reduce the filter size and provide better harmonic attenuation. However the disadvantage of the filter is resonance which ca...

description This paper proposes a fuzzy logic based current regulator of two level voltage source converter connected to a power grid through LCL filter. Utilization of the LCL filter can reduce the filter size and provide better harmonic attenuation. However the disadvantage of the filter is resonance which can lead to stability problem. The fuzzy logic control is used to regulate d-axis and q-axis current components in order to achieve good performance of control system. The fuzzy logic controller is designed with simple method based frequency response on bode diagram. The simulation studies have been performed using Matlab/Simulink. It can be concluded that a good control system performance can be achieved.
