| Summary: | This thesis explores Indonesia’s human rights policy from its independence to the present day through a historical survey of each presidential period. It applies the neoclassical realism “domestic power structure-leadership perception” model to analyse the role of external and internal factors in the formation of Indonesia’s human rights policy. It concludes that the model is sufficient in showing the overall evolution of both Indonesia’s pro and anti-human rights policies as Indonesia’s chosen state strategies. |
