| Summary: | Large numbers of finite element analyses are conducted using linearly elastic soil. The value of static Winkler springs stiffness is determined for soil.A general solution to elstodynamic equations of an elastic half space (soil) with a cylindrical insert (pile) is proposed. The results are interpreted as stiffness, mass and damping values of soil. The mass value is interpreted as contributing mass of soil. Stiffness values are verified with the results of FE study. |
