Description
Summary:Location intelligence is about utilizing geographic information systems and geospatial technologies to enhance management and decision-making in a geographic environment and context. Geospatial web-based developments are enhancing and progressing the use and extent of location intelligence in applications and decision-making. Intelligence is obtained, not only through better information and access via the Web to data and services at the concerned locations, but also through better and timely interaction with persons, communities and devices at target locations. This paper outlines a number of research projects involving intelligent geocoding, positioning in location based systems, digital earth simulations for tourism and geo-health visualization, that aim to better utilize geospatial web technologies to enhance location intelligence.
