| Summary: | The notion of ‘simple living’ and the documenting of more sustainable lifestyles is an increasingly familiar topic of online writing. This paper presents a case study of two online forums focused on simple living, Aussies Living Simply and the Earth Garden Path. Site members were surveyed to examine the impact of the sites on their practice and understandings of sustainability. The study asks how such online communities might support the development of civic and individual action around sustainability, or “green citizenship”. |
