The role of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) in ovarian function

Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) have been reported to involve in the ovarian folliculogenesis through interacting with gonadotropin hormones. However, the mechanism of interaction is not clearly understood. The aim of the current study was to demonstrate the mechanism of interaction between BMPs...

description Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) have been reported to involve in the ovarian folliculogenesis through interacting with gonadotropin hormones. However, the mechanism of interaction is not clearly understood. The aim of the current study was to demonstrate the mechanism of interaction between BMPs and gonadotropins using different technical approaches. The outcomes of the current study demonstrate that BMPs involves directly and indirectly in regulating follicle development which opens an interesting opportunity to improve fertility and enhance reproductive life.
