Summary:Rationale and Aims: Primary-aged students have a natural curiosity which, when harnessed, can lead to a love of science that will last well beyond their primary school years. Primary teachers of science are very experienced at providing engaging, age appropriate activities in science. There is a large body of knowledge and experience around the teaching of science inquiry with an excellent use of contexts relevant to students' lives. However, there are issues of the teaching of Science Understanding concepts that offer challenges for the teaching of science in primary schools. This resource is aimed at addressing some of these issues.
