| Summary: | This thesis is a study of giant pulses from the Crab pulsar. The giant pulses are short duration radio bursts consisting of complex superpositions of nanosecond- and microsecond-scale impulses. The short duration of these giant pulses imply broadband emission and very high brightness temperatures. We have investigated the broad band nature of the Crab giant pulses with the Murchison Widefield Array and Parkes radio telescope, as well as their spectral behaviour at low radio frequencies. |
